Хазара Монголчуудын талаар англи хэл дээр гоогэлдлээ , үүний эцэст нэг бодол толгойд орж ирэв .

1) One of Ulaanbaatar's few Indian restaurants.
2) A six-million-strong ethnic group, composing about 10% of Afghanistan's total population.

A great deal of speculation, and at least some genetic evidence (which I won't pretend to understand in full) indicates that the Hazara are descended in large part from Mongols. I dare not make a pronouncement one way or the other on the truth of this matter, but it's still an interesting story.
What's even more interesting is, as Asian Gypsy pointed out today, every year two Hazara students from Afghanistan get scholarships to study in Mongolia. This year, the applicants were apparently so awesome that the committee selected three. Congratulations to the winners, it's a great opportunity!
If you don't understand why, consider the following. Mongolia is pretty consistently rated as a free, democratic, and business-friendly country. This is exactly the sort of country that Afghanistan is trying to become, at least in theory. Exposure to that kind of country could only be a positive influence for Afghani students. What's more, Mongolia is not a warzone. In fact, it's not even close, even taking into account last year's post-election riot. Studying in Mongolia would probably be much safer, on the whole, than studying in Afghanistan.
Anyway, I wish the students good luck with their studies and all the best in the future. This really is fantastic news for the students who got picked
